许多书上说other than只提到“除了……之外”一个意思，有必要给大家说说。

other than有两种意思：

1.是用来表示否定意义，即“不同于（= different from)，非（= not)"

The truth is quite other than what you think.

3. none (no) other than 作“不是别的，正是...”

4.other than后可接代词、名词、副词或不定式（other than前的谓语动词为do（does,did）时，不定式可以带to，也可以不带to）：
